Thought I would give a few plugs here for those visiting Slovakia this
summer. Some stores that I have been to and know they carry high quality
items for a low price.

Artist Krausko creates outstanding Water Color paintings at very reasonable
prices. This shop also carries a wide variety of handmade products of
Slovakia. Worth a visit.
AGE, (pronounce - ah-gee)

AGE is the most modern computer and television store I visited in
Slovakia. A wide range of fine products and some very unique items for your
computer desk. The document holder I have is like nothing I have ever seen
and after a year still serves me perfectly. Besides my cousin works there,
Jolana Tuchscherova.
The small outdoor restaurant on the small side road to Strecno castle
(hrad). Located on the Western slope of the castle mountain and beside a
mountain stream. I do not know the name of this place, but the owner
presented me with gifts just because I was an American. He would not accept
any money from me.
The Bee Museum of Kralova pri Senci, owner/manager Imrich Kessecy. Ask to
take your picture with him in front of the main active Bee hive, then see
what he does.
Mr. Lazarcik the horse drawn carriage driver at Strebske Pleso resort in
the High Tatras. Last year it was 300 sk (abt. $10) for a long slow ride to
the mountain lake. Must be experienced.
